How it all began
Pauline Quigley is a country girl who never moved from where she was born and raised in Co.Wexford. Growing up on a farm with the beautiful Mount Leinster and Blackstairs mountains as a backdrop she began her artistic career.
The youngest of 6 children Pauline stayed home on the farm after doing her final exams at the age of 16, this was much to her mothers annoyance, who wanted her to train to be a hairdresser.
Loving the freedom that country life allowed her, working on the farm with her father, out in the fields and taking care of the animals was a daily routine for Pauline, then she would spend her evenings painting and drawing.
Pauline married and had a family of her own, still dabbling in some form of craft but all the while looking for a medium that she felt really at home with. When the opportunity came a few years ago to do a stained glass workshop that was it Pauline was hooked.
With the youngest of her 3 children almost finished school Pauline decided to give up farming and pursue her passion for glass and in 2014 Pauline started her business ‘PQ Glass Design’.
